The End.
That’s what CNN called the film chronicling the final days of Obama’s years in the White House.
Interviews, snippets from news conferences and a look inside the White House, revealed the personal part of the “peaceful transfer of power.”
So many lasts: briefings, press conferences, speech revisions, farewells to and from, while packers loaded moving vans curbed outside the place the Obamas called home for the past eight years.
Throughout these days since the election, two of the qualities the Obamas keep modeling for their daughters and a watching world are grace and gratitude. Remember, “when they go low, we go high.”
As I watched one of the final White House gatherings, one luncheon guest expressed disappointment over the election results, giving a senior staff person an invitation to vent with,”this must be so hard for you, too.” After a thoughtful pause, the staff woman simply said, “We take our signals from the top.”
On this day of change in our country, no matter how we voted, as followers of Christ, we’re called to be people of Grace and gratitude and to “take our signals from the Top.”

Thanks Jan,
We are saved by grace and we live by grace. It will be interesting to see how this truth is extended.

Grace. It always comes back to Grace. If there is anything that we have been shown by the Obama administration, it is facing adversity with dignity and Grace.
We must remember the power of His Grace. His Truth.
And continue to go higher.
AMEN!!
