One of the benefits of living alone is talking to myself.
Out loud.
Today while I trolled for something else, Psalm 103 reeled me into The Net, God’s provision for Jud and me through months of faith leaping into uncertainty.
Still does.
In the margin of the Psalm I’d written, “November 1, 2011 Heather’s birthday, last day of Jud’s 6th cycle at MGH.” Words. My words, sad reminders, until I read David’s psalm, again.
“Praise the Lord, I tell myself, with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, I tell myself, and never forget the good things he does for me.” ( Psalm 103:1-2NLT)
David talked to himself, too.
Out loud.
“Praise the Lord, I tell myself…and never forget the good things he does for me.”
Does for me.
Still.
God’s net awaits, triple braided with Love, Grace and Mercy, so strong, so wide, ready for all us leapers with fears and flimsy faith. We, dare to be Daniels, trusting God, while hoping and praying the lions already ate.
“Praise the Lord, I tell myself; with my whole heart…”
Praise the Lord, Jan, with all your heart.
Now, jump.
Want to hold hands and count?

Thanks Jan,
I get it, but still am glad you tell us in public what God has told you in private. Sometimes, I even listen!

I love you Jan!! Yes, let’s hold hands and jump!
Love this!! “God’s net awaits, triple braided with Love, Grace and Mercy, so strong, so wide, ready for all us leapers with fears and flimsy faith. We, dare to be Daniels, trusting God, while hoping and praying the lions already ate.” Could preach a whole message on that paragraph alone (not that I preach messages!) haha! So helpful to have someone’s hands to hold when you need to leap in faith, so thankful for the body of Christ, for me, for you!
I’m holding hands !
