Brandi and Dana Bates care.

Harbingers of hope through their New Horizons Foundation.
God’s heart and hands to the easily forgotten in Lupeni, Romania.
Having been away for several days, I spent part of today catching up, including reading Brandi’s thoughts on Autumn in Lupeni. They’e been active, “while God’s creation prepares for a quiet rest.”
Winter’s coming.
Today’s National Kindness Day. Who’d a thought we needed to set aside a day to do what should be the rule, not exception.
Kindness takes strength to stop and care through word or act.
In Brandi’s autumn update, she included a quote from Vincent van Gogh:
“… whosoever loves much, performs much and can accomplish much; and what is done in love, is well done.”
Brandi wasn’t referring to herself but I will.
As it says somewhere in the New Testament:
“Your care for others, is the measure of your greatness.”
We need more of your kind, Brandi.

Would that kindness was indeed ordinary, and not special.
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free to be as kind as we want to be without limits.
Thanks Brandi and Jan for reminding us!
Jan, I’m delighted about your mention of Brandi and Dana. They’re personal heroes of mine–doing such important and transformative work in a country and place most of us have no idea of and including, in Brandi’s case, in particular, work that evolved after living in the Jiu Valley of Romania and becoming aware of a variety of unexpected opportunities to serve that community. They are marvelous models of all the fruit of the Spirit.
Thanks fior honoring our sweet friend, Brandi. She us a brave and giving woman. God is using her in dk many ways in Romania. Thankful to be a part of her community.
