Home.
At our Ace hardware store, a small sign read: “My mind wandered and never came back.”
At Cake Ann bakery: “In honor of your New Year’s resolutions, we’ve gone on vacation until…”
From my brother, Dan, “Welcome to Iowa. Be sure you brought along something to do.”
Life has signs
and wonders.
“And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. “(Luke 2:12 KJV)
Good to remember God’s signs and wonders, and to believe for ones still to come.
Especially, when life seems wonder-less, signs blurred or hidden underwater, snow, mud, mucked words unworthy of repeating, while we struggle to keep heads above water in troubled seas that seek to sink us.
We forget, sometimes, we’ve hidden, but reachable emergency flotation devices.
Faith to float.
Hope to buoy.
Love to lift.
And Grace to breathe.
Blessed breath,
A wonder, a sign of life going on.

Such a beautiful reminder Jan! Winter can be long and dark and hard – and it does seem harder to stay afloat. So thankful for those powerful flotation devices God has readily available for us day in and out!! Lam 3:22-23 – our favorite verses! Love you!
Good to know life’s not just “sink or swim”…floating and treading water work, as well…possible by faith,, with hope, love and grace. Love to you and Steve.
