Something to Ponder

Enough Said

Feels like I've hit a wall, like I'm stuck on Pause.  Last I wrote, Chris and I were tiptoeing through duck droppings, attempting to arrange flowers on my parents' grave.

Since then, well, you've heard and seen the news.

Frederick Buechner wrote, "Here is the world.  Beautiful and terrible things will happen.  Don't be afraid."

Doing battle.

The solar eclipse came and went, leaving behind a whole lot of funny looking sunglasses.

Darkness didn't last.

Morning came.

After breakfast I took out my Bible,  the Boston Globe, read, prayed and did the duties nearest at hand.

Took a nap.

Hunted humor.

Needed to laugh about something.

Remembered a sign I saw last Saturday at Gloucester's Waterfront Festival.

"Don't let anyone with bad eyebrows give you any advice about life."

Have you seen my eyebrows?

Enough said.

This in itself tickled and made me smile in the midst of this world of "beautiful and terrible things". Thank you!

Delightful piece covering the importance and absurdities of any given day. Maybe in a hundred years those paper glasses will be worth a few bucks on eBay. For now, let's just pray for this day and the next.

Gandalf had wonderful and wise eyebrows, but even he occasionally said, "Run, run, run!"

Hahahahaha! Wish you could see my eyebrows now. Made me think of a four year old boy one of my daughters once watched who said to her. "I like your eyebrowns!"
