How trustworthy is FACEBOOK?
Apparently, not so much, since my last post on TRUTH prompted someone to impersonate me on Facebook. So some of you have done one of three things:
- Caught on that it wasn't me, even thought a familiar photo came with it.
- Reported it to Facebook for the lie it was.
- Responded to whatever I supposedly said and wondered why I'd bought an RV and where I was headed. And that came to me second hand. Not the RV, the message from Facebook.
Just to be sure any of you readers of this blog know...I am not on Facebook. I receive photos and news from many of you through Facebook and offers of friendship. However, I cannot open them. It's not that I'm aloof or a Luddite, just that I don't choose to be on Facebook. I have enough diversions and interests to distract me from the duties at hand . Only this blog is connected to some of you through Facebook. So, if anything comes to you as if I'm posting something personal to you on Facebook, it's neither me nor true.
SPEAKING OF TRUTH AND LIES...
There is no end to distorted images and lies about love. Who, why and how to love fill shelves and air time. And since it's almost Valentine's Day, I'll leave you with these words, then hope to return to the subject on another day.
"LOVE never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." (I Corinthians 13:7,NLT)
Imagine a world where we loved like this.

Sorry Jan for what happened. I don't engage in any social media unless texting qualifies but that's because I am a "Luddite" and probably too smug about it. In a Bible study where we just finished Hebrews with great pronouncements about the superiority and sufficiency of Christ. However, the last chapter starts with "let love of the brethren continue." That message continues as the common thread throughout the Scriptures and in any relationship we want to matter.

I, too, am not on facebook. It's much too time-consuming, among othertion things. Early on, years ago when I did sign up for facebook, I did not fill in most of my personal information. I later realized that others filled in "facts" ahout me that were yards from the truth. So much for the "trustworthiness" of that organ of wildly misinformation.
Well, I was replying to Dale, while you response popped up so, whatever I wrote is out of sync. But that won't be a first. Facts and Facebook don't always sync, for sure. But it's always good to hear from you, dear Alice.
Well, maybe I am a Luddite, then. As for continuing to love the brethren I'm all for it. Except some stress me out more than others. But you're not one of them, thankfully.
