Jud's Birthday Coming Up! Jud's Caring Bridge Journal Entry Seven

Dear Family and Friends of Jud and Jan,

We know you’ve been waiting for more news about how Jud’s doing, and we should have some for you in the next few days.  In the meantime, perhaps you’d like to remember him on his 74th birthday, which is next Wednesday, October 1st.

Last Tuesday, Jud and Jan went to MGH for an important appointment at which options for further treatment were laid out.  They were given one week to decide. Since then, they’ve been consulting with each other, with their children and with oncology experts, while weighing the advantages and disadvantages of the choices before them. Of course, they’re praying hard for wisdom, too, and greatly appreciate our joining them in this. 

This week, they’ve had their oldest grandchildren visiting from California.  Lily and Luke not only wanted to see their grandparents but to be helpful to them in any way they can.  Jan has been busy making Swedish pancakes and other treats for them. Oh, to have Jan for a grandmother… .

We’ll try to update you soon.  Meanwhile, let’s send birthday greetings and prayers Jud’s way.
