As you travel into this next phase of treatment, The Traveler's Psalm is right on.

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

Dear Jan and Jud, I just heard on Saturday about this current battle you are fighting. I was so sobered, as was Steve. I just now finished reading all the journal entries in this Caring Bridge. I'm encouraged by your faith and beautiful, real, attitudes. This is so hard, I can't even really imagine, but I try to put myself in either of your shoes - neither of which feels good at all - and I pray with all my heart. I just wrote in my journal the other day notes from Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling". She said "Pour all your energy into trusting God!" Prov 29:25(amp) "...whoever LEANS ON, TRUSTS IN, and PUTS HIS CONFIDENCE in the LORD is SAFE and SET ON HIGH!" We send huge hugs and commit to pray morning and night and in between too. We love you so much. You both hold a very special place in our hearts.
