Updates from Jud and Jan

Wrinkles in Time. A Note From Jan.

Applesauce

cleaned the fridge found wrinkled fruit fruit that fits me – as I find more wrinkles daily.

My face shrunken apple-like already sauced stewed steamed ground to a pulp

“Don’t look,” says I.

Maggie, Kate and Basil like my wrinkles. soft ones everywhere hard earned yet strangely soft to these peachy smooth grands.

We read aloud to Heather and Chad when they were smallish,  A Wrinkle In Time. Different wrinkle.

No axe to grind just apples missing the one who’d take over the Foley food mill when my arm grew limp “Need you, Jud. right this very minute.”

small stuff big stuff limping along.

Remembering my sous chef Apples cooked, then ground to smithereens head shaking as I watch Jud spoon out, then eat the mash

smacking  lips

wasting nothing savoring every last bit good New Englander

better man.

Your wrinkles are made beautiful by the life you live and your love and faithfulness to people and to God. Only God can do this. And I am so glad He does! Because I see changes in the mirror which I am not sure I like. It is so nice to have children accept us as we are rather than measure and compare.
Praying for all of you. God bless.

Those are beauty marks. Make sure you have the right mirror. Some are more forgiving than others...

What great memories you have to keep you company.
It is hard, sometimes to fill up the time when at home. I remember polishing silver after Russell died. Now I can hardly believe it. Better to make applesauce...xxoo
See you Saturday.

I love how you take the mundane and disposable -wrinkled apples- and turn it into something beautiful and of value. What a blessing you are, Jan ...

A better man made great by a wonderful woman - I guess opposites do attract.

See you soon.
