Family Times in Norway
Just a few glimpses of our time in Norway. Too much happening to write, so photos will have to tell some stories until another day.

And since my tech savvy grandson, Basil, is surfing, at the moment, with his brother, Luke, and Chris, family friend in Norway, this photo will have to suffice.

Thank you, dear Theresa. I also have a wonderful Gordon family, and you are part of it! So happy you and Kristina are friends. It's been an extraordinary time together. I'm grateful to be 85 and still alive to enjoy times like these. The troubles of this hurting world, and especially our country, seem far away. But God's keeping watch so I'm choosing to "fret not." I love my yellow rain jacket, too. It's like portable sunshine. Weather hasn't impacted anything. But you know that from having lived in Norway, my Norwegian sister. I suppose a blizzard would keep one indoors but it's summertime. I will miss the long days. But, once home, I enjoy each season. I am also enjoying this season of life, dear Maggie, and daily reminders of God's love and faithfulness to young and old..

Thank you, dear Sammie. There are many Nowegians and Swedes in Minnesota. I hope some day you are able to come to Norway. It is so beautiful. I'm always amazed at how many Norwegians speak English. Travel is such an important way to realize how small the world is and how interconnected we are. Kindness matters. as does learning to listen to each other. I think of the Bible verse in John 3:16, "For God so loved THE WORLD that he gave His son((Jesus)..." And the children's song, "Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world." Oh, my amazing cousin, Judy, what a surprise to see your name pop up. I will let you know our itinerary in a separate email. However, North, South, East or West, you can't go wrong in this beautiful country. You will love it!! And the more I learn about our family, the more I treasure our grandmother, Ella. No wonder she was honored with a medal from King Haakon VII in Norway. But her reward in heaven will be far greater. Hugs to you, Jim and your family.
