"Living with Hope at 74." A Note From Jan (and Jud).
· posted by Martha Stout
Waded through medical files. Hospital bills. Sifted, sorted, pulled together the final stubs and receipts for tax time. Among hospital papers was a tablet with notes to me from Jud. Reminders of passwords I easily forgot.
Even in his last days he kept teaching, organizing me for life without him. Love in action. Patient love.
At the top of one page he’d written, “Living with hope @ 74.” Don’t know what it was for. Do know it was how he lived. My turn now. Never thought of hope as contagious. But I caught it from Jud. Thank God!

Hope is a beautiful thing to treasure and a beautiful gift left to you from your beloved one! Thank you for sharing your life/ lives with us. And I do enjoy the continuation of the site heading "Updates from Jud and Jan".

Hope, hope, hope! even on a 20 degree day in mid March! love this, Jan. Needed it this morning!
Hope may be the best password of all. Just a little ray can make all the difference, I've found.
Have a lovely weekend, Jan. xxoo
