In Memoriam. Jud's Journal Entry Thirty-Seven.
Dear friends,
Jan is so grateful for your remembrances of Jud and your many kind words for her.
She would like you to know that plans for Jud’s memorial service are underway. Details will be announced here and on the Gordon College campus as soon as possible.
In response to inquiries, Jan would also like you to know that, should you wish to make a memorial gift, the family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, you consider giving toward the Carlberg Scholarship in Global Education.

Martha, God provided the perfect person to minister to Jud, Jan and all of us; experienced in writing and hospice, deeply sensitive and caring. You are there for "such a time as this." Thank you and God bless.

With reference to the thoughtful comment below, just want you to know I'm still engaged with Jan on other fronts and not able to participate in organizing any meals.
Martha, please encourage Jan that she has been so strong for so long, that it is really okay not to be strong for now. Let those around her be her hands so she can just rest and grieve. If you have a list of people providing meals, please add me to that list (978) 281-5177 - Meg

Dear Jan,
I'm at a loss to express what we're feeling. We have known you and Jud since grad school days, and although we know he's now in a better place, his absence leaves a huge hole in our lives. One thing we would like you to know is that we have greatly admired how you have handled communicating through CaringBridge. God has given you a gift for putting into words what you and the family have experienced on a daily basis. Now may God give you an extra measure of grace for the days ahead.
